De Israëlische singer-songwriter Asaf Avidan brak in 2012 door toen zijn nummer Reckoning Song (2008) een wereldhit werd in een remixversie van de Duitse dj/producer Wankelmut. Dat Avidan het ook prima zonder beats kan, bewijst hij op zijn akoestische albumserie In A Box, waarvan in 2023 deel III verscheen. Folk, rock en blues vormen de basis van Avidans muziek, maar wat vooral opvalt is zijn unieke, theatrale stemgeluid – afwisselend klinkt hij als Robert Plant, Janis Joplin en Macy Gray. Tijdens deze Unfurl tour speelt hij voor het eerst in drie jaar weer met band en er komen ook twee nieuwe albums uit!
