Mountain States is a four-piece indie pop band. Often considered guitar pop-janglers, Nijmegen based band revels in dreamy melodies and gritty guitar sounds. Their first single, ‘El Sombrero’, received attention both nationally as well as internationally and paved the way for their first self-titled EP in 2013. Two years later they once laid bare their musical endeavors by releasing Kairos, their second EP, which again was highly praised. In August 2016 they have recorded their debut album, entitled “Whispers”. Ranging from poppy, high-school singalongs to shoegazy, free spirited jams, Whispers offers a broad variety of genres that are tight together by Mountain States’ distinctive sound. Whispers will be out May 2, 2017 on Coaster Records.
