MaNiDa is an Italian quartet formed with the goal of creating an original and personal sound without the use of harmonic instruments and blending jazz, classical, and pop influences. The Knitters trio presents a sound influenced by the great piano-less trios and the major figures of jazz tradition, with a strong inclination toward integrating a modern perspective in both composition and improvisation. Their deep passion for mainstream tradition and the contemporary New York jazz scene drives the trio to swiftly move from traditional stylistic forms and harmonic structures into moments of free improvisation, seeking the purest interaction between the three instruments.
