Obsidian played big Dutch venues since 2002 like the Melkweg, Paradiso , the Mezz and P60, supporting bands like Textures and Gorefest. A new fitting vocalist was found in the person of Robbe K (Disavowed, Arsebreed). First album Emerging was received with a lot of enthusiasm by the press (see the site), and it in March 2007 Obsidian signed with Rusty Cage Records for an official international re-release of Emerging, fully remastered and fitted with new vocals by Robbe K. Influences are Meshuggah, Opeth, Burst, Darkane, Textures, Scarve, Cynic, Atheist, Extol, Gojira. http://www.myspace.com/obsidianrocks
