Chuck Prophet is een goed bewaard rockgeheim. Hij begon zijn carrière in de psychedelische band Green on Red. Hij ontwikkelde jarenlang zijn vaardigheden als singer/songwriter, bandleider, zanger en gitarist, en werkte samen met Cake, Peter Buck (R.E.M.), Solomon Burke en Kim Carnes. Inmiddels verschenen er al heel wat platen van deze artiest die rootsy pop met grootse gebaren en rock-invloeden maakt. Binnenkort verschijnt zijn nieuwe plaat, waarvan al twee singles zijn uitgebracht.
