The Pálinkálom is an Amsterdam-based band around singer-arranger Burján Orsi. The music of the band has its melodic material rooted in Hungarian folk music, spiced with a touch of jazz and world music with rich harmonies. Being familiar with the jazz, folk and classical idioms, Orsi’s arrangements of the Hungarian folk songs show a unique, lyrical and fascinating world, which together with the high level musicality of all the band members creates an outstanding atmosphere in their sound.
