'Mále-Vráse' are singing Rembetiko, urban Greek folk music, that is rooted in the pre-war era, and reflects harsh aspects of daily sub-cultural lifestyle. Rembetiko, also known as "The Greek Blues", started during 1930s and ended 20 years later as a mixture of Eastern and Western music features.
Mále-Vráse is a typical Greek slang which means upset, mess and bust up.
The band travels back to this popular period with a guitar, two bouzouki's and a double bass. They form their sound with respect to the original recordings, combined with contemporary music elements.
