Rise Against terug in Amsterdam

Door sjoertb op 14 juni 2017 - 10:18 Rise Against gaat nu al 18 jaar mee. De band startte in 1999 en spreekt zich uit voor sociale gerechtigheid in hun songs. In november is de melodieuze hardcoreband weer terug in Amsterdam. Op de 12e van die maand vindt er een show plaats in AFAS Live.

Vorige week kwam het achtste album 'WOLVES' uit. Frontman Tim McIlrath over het nieuwe album: "I want to create dangerous spaces where misogyny can't exist, where xenophobia can't exist. I want to create spaces where those sentiments don't have any air, and they suffocate: where those ideas die. WOLVES isn't about creating a safe space, it's about creating a space that's dangerous for injustice."

In 2014 speelde Rise Against op hetzelfde podium toen het nog Heineken Music Hall heette. Ditmaal zijn Pears en Sleeping With Sirens mee als supportacts.
