The Bobby Leea

The Bobby Lees spelen een stevige mix van garage rock doordrenkt met punk invloeden, 60’s rock & roll en grunge.
De uit Woodstock, New York afkomstige band bestaat uit zanger/gitarist Sam Quartin, bassist/toetsenist Kendall Wil,
gitarist Nick Casa en drumster Macky Bowman.

Voor hun tweede album ‘Skin Suit’ wist de band Jon Spencer (van The Blues Explosion) te strikken als producer.
Hun debuutalbum klinkt authentiek, vuig, smerig, rauw, ongepolijst en sleazy. Het album sluit af met 2 covers van helden Bo Diddley en Richard Hell. De band werd in hun thuisland al op sleeptouw genomen door The Chats, Black Lips, Daddy Long Legs en Future Islands en toert nu op eigen kracht de wereld rond.

Dikke aanrader voor liefhebbers van bands als Mudhoney, Oblivians, Ty Segall. Ook Henry Rollins heeft zijn mening klaar over The Bobby Lees:
