Het duo The Milk Carton Kids bestaat uit Kenneth Pattengale en Joey Ryan, beide zanger en gitarist. Samen creëren ze een kruising tussen americana en klassieke folk. De muziek is te omschrijven als prachtige en gevoelige contemporary folk, tussen Gillian Welch en Simon & Garfunkel in.
