JACOBA is build around singer Judith Rijsenbrij and a guitar player Lukas Veldman. They find each other back in Amsterdam after wandering for many years. Together they seek for new sounds to fill the world with.
JACOBA finds their roots in many genres, from rock to classical s combined with a huge love for jazz they make melancholic songs with a raw, and husky sound, think Nina Simone meets the XX.
This night they will play in full band formation for you.
The Visual
A semi electronic/acoustic duo by Anna van Rij and Timon Persoon. Inspired by artists as Nick Drake, Jeff Buckley, Pink Floyd and Brian Eno. The music relates to nowadays issues, where the individual and it's psychology relative to the reality, take centre stage. The audience will be part of an experience where visuals, lyrics and music are trying to find a balance between dissonance and harmony.
